Pros & Cons
p1. Denying them is a violation of religious freedom (civil and religious marriages are two separate institutions).
c1. Most religions consider homosexuality a sin.
p2. Marriage benefits (such as joint ownership, medical decision-making capacity) should be available to all couples.
c2. It would weaken the definition and respect for the institution of marriage.
p3. Homosexuality is an accepted lifestyle nowadays with a proven biological causation.
c3. It would further weaken the traditional family values essential to our society.
p4. Denying these marriages is a form of minority discrimination.
c4. It could provide a slippery slope in the legality of marriage (e.g. having multiple wives or marrying an object could be next).
p5. The only thing that should matter in marriage is love.
c5. The gay lifestyle is not something to be encouraged, as a lot of research shows it leads to a much lower life expectancy, psychological disorders, and other problems.
In a country started by people fleeing from religious restrictions . It is hypocritical to keep someone from marring who they love. They argue that it is a sin, but same sex marriage by the law should be allowed. Religion is apart from politics. That is one issue that the founding fathers fought for and it is ridicules to retract from that.

Cellphone Ban
Pros & Cons
p1. Distract students.
c1. A classroom can also be distracted when a teacher receives a call from the office for a student.
p2. Often stolen and lost.
c2. Students can call for help.
p3. Used to cheat.
c3. Help coordinate after school activities.
p4. Cause violence.
c4. Stay in contact with parents.
p5. Not necessary in school
c5. Cell phones are needed in daily routines
Banning cell phones in schools is just plain absurd. God forbid their be a tragedy many would be excommunicated. We have learned of many tragedies involving guns in different universities . Many of these universities have now created text alerts in case of an emergency. This shows how useful cell phones can be. Banning cell phones can exclude students from after school activities such as a ballet class, soccer practice or a part time job. They depend on the cell phones to keep their parents informed of their well being . Technology is evolving and society just needs to learn to adapt because these are good creations.
Events like the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School near Littleton, Colo., in which two student shooters killed 12 fellow classmates and teachers, raised the question of whether students should have them for emergencies.

p1. A uniform helps a student take school seriously.
c1. Their is no credential studies that say a uniform in proves learning cloths have nothing to do with learning
p2. Uniforms maintain school discipline.
c2. A uniform is not going to change anything if the student is so bad kick him out.
p3. They are less expensive than other clothes.
c3. Uniforms are expensive and have no use out of school
p4. ensures student will wear appropriate clothing.
c4. Anyone can make anything look unappreciated if that's the case
p5. Individuality is not determined by clothing.
c5. It is in fact a way of individuality is a way to express your self and no one should be forbidden from it.
I belief that a uniform should be a choice not a demand. I also think that private schools have their own uniform only because the institution benefits from it. Public school are to ensure everyone’s education not tell them what to do. Uniforms are expensive and have no use out of school. Therefore many parents with low income will be forced to buy uniforms as well as regular cloth. That is a waste, student only spend a fraction of the day at school. It is a free country and everyone should have a choice from what to pick out to wear in the morning to what career to pursue.
